PoT outing today!

I brought my cookies for them to try and they all said it was nice. See, it's edible, and "damn good" as quoted from Eleanor.

Speaking of her, I think they're all so interesting.
Eleanor has this wicked slang, well, most of them do. Silk(yes her name is SILK) is so adorable; and she has like 928465125 tenimyu stuff. Peishan is...very much MITSUbushi(she'll kill me if she sees this). XD

Manager has this british-like accent. And Teeth was just...Teeth.

So anyway, we went to Ume Ume Men for sushi buffet.

Trust me, the food we have on the table, is like 10 times more than what you can see in the picture. Because it's an all-you-can-eat buffet; and we just kept ordering and ordering.

Especially Yanling. She ordered like, 3 plates of cucumber maki = 3 x 6 = 18 sushi; that's not all.
And the amount of food she had was like...infinite.

"I think I ordered too much." she says. Ya think?

I'm still feeing really full right now.

So after the major intake of carbohydrates and sugar and protein and- you get the idea; we walked all the way to PS. (though jo left really abruptly)

There was this book called "English as it is Broken" which caused the Times bookshop to be noise polluted.

No seriously.

Great, so tomorrow marks the 14th day left to band comp.

TWO weeks.

7 more practices, 1 full-dress performance.

And then the competition.

Somehow I feel the band is still not pressured enough; a bit slack(the gimmicks are not even finalised). But of course I'm prepared for full-time drilling tomorrow, Saturday practices are going to be hell training.

And let's hope it wouldn't rain.

So, I was feeling free today and went to make some 'cookies'. Spent about $2o on ingredients, 2 hours of hard kitchen work, and the result?

Stomachache.

Okay, it's not that bad.

I made 2 batches though, the first batch was okay. But the second batch was the evil one. Seriously, it's the perfect example of nicely decorated poison. (it looks really pretty, with the sprinkles and all, and I even put some star candies on it. 8D)

Edible, but unsafe.

I seriously fail. D:

I admit that I don't really like having to uphold such resposibility.

I can't live up to such high expectations.

Some music knick knacks~

I believe that those in Ms Tay's SS class would've known of the movie, Schindler's List.

I bet what you guys don't know is that, the piece of music she played on the ppt during the Holocaust part was actually the theme for Schindler's List. =D

So here I bring you, Schindler's List theme, as performed by renowned violinist, Itzhak Perlman.



What makes Mr. Perlman such a suitable candidate for performing the violin solo was because he is a Jewish himself, and as quoted from the interview above:

"..the subject of the movie was so important to me; and that I felt that I could contribute simply by just knowing the history, feeling the history, and indirectly actually being the victim of the history."

Itzhak Perlman is an amazing violinist who has played solo for many movie soundtracks, and the most recent one being The Memoirs of a Geisha. I look up to him as a professional musician because he is one who shows resilience despite being contracted with polio at a young age.

I haven't watched the movie yet, but I think this theme is enough to convey the melancholic of the history.

The composer of this piece of music is John Williams, the genius behind most movie soundtracks. His most famous works consists of ET, Superman, and Star Wars.

Just wanted to try it out anyway; but I had to put in like what, 4 packets of sugar?
I think it was because I ordered double tall, and they added in another shot of coffee powder. So it became kinda overwhelmingly bitter.

I know, I'm a sugar addict.

But I still like caramel latte, because I'm so not a coffee person.

p.s. I completed all 57 questions of literature on my own today, like, within an hour. *is proud*

Finally got hold of PATi PATi March issue; and there was like, still quite alot on the shelves. Stupid counter lady made me worried for nothing; I must've called too early because she seemed really blur and said it was out of stock.

The photoshoot was darn nice~

And I got the album today as well!


Listening to it right now; so far I really like Orion, so maybe I shall upload it onto imeem.

From the DVD I realise that neither of them had straight teeth; especially Shinji. *gets shot* (except for mao, his kinda looked like he wore braces before)

Well the drawing above was done in MOC because me and Jo had nothing to do and went there to slack. okay we were supposed to do homework, but srsly, who would?

So that was today.

Holidays coming, homework piling, CCA grueling, projects accumulating and me, dying.

That sucks, doesn't it. D:

But I will not think about that for now because all that SID made me happy.

Don't you feel that sometimes, that someone up there is biased towards another?

Somehow life just seems to be heading in his/her direction; but after pondering about it, I feel that life is still fair, at least towards myself, or people around me.

When life gives something, it takes something away too.

It's what they call 有得必有失。

Let me give a real life example.
Now, let's call this person A. So this person A is extremely popular; she gains billions of friends, and gets herself involved with a thousand and one relationships/activities.
However, in the process of trying very hard to be well-known, she fails or does badly for most of her subjects.
Life has given her social interconnections, yet has taken away her academic achievements.

I believe this is the most subtle example I can give.

It's also an extremely obvious hint to someone.

Someone whom I have mentioned before, in this blog. This particular person has changed so much that, I no longer feel she's the same person I once knew.

I have stressed this so many times, yet she doesn't heed.

I really don't know what to say.
